You want strength, confidence, inner peace, and to be free from pain—without another one-size-fits-all plan.
If you’ve ever thought, “I am doing all the RIGHT things—career, family, fitness classes, green smoothies, meditation apps (that I secretly forget to use), self-help books (that are collecting more dust than anything) and still something feels off,” you’re not alone. Maybe your life looks successful on paper—but inside you feel tired, lost, anxious, unfulfilled, or physically uncomfortable. This is where I come in.
Hello there, I’m Lore Goldstein
I wear a few hats (and none of them fit neatly in a box)
I’m a Holistic Psychotherapist, Mental Wellness Educator, Integrative Movement Specialist, and Transitions Guide. What that really means: I help people with stress and pain feel strong, stable, and at peace—in both body and mind.
While I infuse humor in my workshops and trainings, I’m also deeply aware of the sensitivities and impact of trauma. Creating a safe environment for exploration is non-negotiable, whether we’re strengthening muscles, calming a nervous system, figuring out what matters the most, working through a major life upheaval, or untangling old patterns of behavior.
While some of what I do might seem “wacky-woo” to you, my work with people is very grounded in science and practical applications. We are all part human, part soul, so let’s work with that in a way that makes sense for everyday life.
On a side note, I’m a full-blown Alchemist mixed with the gift of gab, writing, reading energy, and teaching. Translation: I’m an idea-generating machine who gets “downloads” in the shower, can draft an entire blog post while putting on pants, and have an uncanny ability to spot where people are misaligned with their life’s purpose. I know, right??
Also—animals have my heart. Thursdays you’ll find me volunteering at my local shelter, and don’t be surprised if all my social media showcases pictures of cats.
My Alaska Story (and why it matters)
Back in 2011 I was living and working in a remote Native Yupik village—a part of Alaska that no normal person goes. Life on the frozen tundra was nothing short of unpredictable and intense. The winters were long and dark, running water seemed optional on some days, the culture was resistant to “outsiders,” and every day I encountered something that fell into the “shit you can’t make up” category. It gave me a firsthand experience of what it was like to be on the “other side”—to face cultural and ethnic prejudice and to feel the isolation of not belonging.
However, it was here in Alaska I that found yoga and meditation (thanks to Rodney Yee and his mountain of available Netflix DVDs). It was a physical struggle to even hold down dog, and I truly sucked at doing any form of asana at first. But I kept at it. What else was there to do?
I was also searching for ways to work on my physical health, so I figured there was no better time to change my diet and habits than while I was living in the middle of nowhere, in below freezing temps, with no restaurants or distractions.
After awhile, I started to realize I was was deeply unfulfilled and began reflecting on my life purpose and relationship choices. That’s when I began dabbling with Tarot, EFT, and other tools that cracked me open to new ways of healing and viewing life. And somewhere along the way, I discovered a level of confidence and capability I never thought I had—because if I could survive life in a remote Alaskan village, I could survive just about anything.
I started to see myself in a new light. Returning to Florida, I knew I couldn’t go back to business as usual. If I stayed in my conventional psychotherapy practice or my marriage, the tension and anxiety I carried would only grow worse. So, I did the scary thing: I quit my practice, packed up only the essentials, moved out of my house to another city, and amicably parted ways with my ex. It was the beginning of a new chapter, one where fulfillment and authenticity mattered more than “a life that looked good on paper”.
After over a decade of continuing with my yoga practice, and then becoming an instructor, I noticed something unsettling: instead of feeling stronger, I felt weaker. Old injuries flared up, sciatica got worse, and even standing too long brought on back pain. Long flights were miserable—my left butt cheek would catch fire halfway across the country. I wanted to chalk it up to age, but deep down I knew something was off.
That’s when I stumbled across yoga combined with Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT). Suddenly, it all clicked. Movement didn’t have to hurt. Strength didn’t have to come at the expense of pain. I found a whole new, pain-free way of teaching and practicing—and that discovery continues to shape everything I do today.
What I Do Now
Today, I blend integrated movement (yoga, mat Pilates, qigong, muscle activation, vagus nerve exercises) with practical mental wellness tools to help people:
Relieve stress and anxiety
Build strength and stability
Reduce pain without endless stretching
Reset their nervous system
Navigate transitions with clarity and purpose
I don’t just offer yoga and movement classes. I help people reclaim sanity and strength in a world that often steals both. My classes and programs have a specific purpose whether that’s to quell anxiety, connect us with our higher Self, or deal with pain. It’s movement as medicine.
My Somewhat Professional Bio
(if you still care…)
Lore Goldstein, LMHC, M.Ed., M.S., is a mental health advisor, "reader of energy", yoga and meditation teacher, muscle activation practitioner, believer in the healing forces of nature, speaker, adventurer, and hopeless fan of House Hunters International and Hallmark channel movies.
Lore was first recognized and sought out in the psychotherapy field for her transformational work with teenagers who were experiencing audio and visual hallucinations due to their trauma-related experiences and emotional distress.
While certainly not conventional, she found that the use of crystals, Tarot cards, breath work, movement, and visualization helped the young adults work through emotional distress that was creating their symptoms. It was proof that an alternative approach worked, and the metaphysical can work in tandem with practical, science-based solutions.
Lore’s eclectic training and experiences throughout the years have made her a unique, go-to contributor on topics such as stress, anxiety, trauma, yoga and movement for pain relief, and creating healthy habits that actually stick.
Lore is passionate about animal welfare, volunteers one day a week at her local animal shelter, and donates a percentage of her proceeds to animal rescue efforts.
